Formerly The Lake Dillon Theatre Co., the playhouse worked with LPK to rebrand as it celebrates its home in Silverthorne, Colorado.
For 20 years, The Lake Dillon Theatre Company has been home to world-class theatre performances, drawing tourists and locals alike to its small Colorado playhouse in the mountains of Summit County, Colorado. But as the institution moves into its third decade, big shifts are underway: an expanded repertoire and growing audience, a new home in nearby Silverthorne, and with it, a new name and brand developed by LPK.
“This is a brand that stands for brave, bold, boundless expression.”
Debuting its new name, Theatre SilCo, the brand refresh reflects the company’s vision for what local theatre can be, as well as its work to make Silverthorne a cultural destination. “There’s something especially powerful about taking in the dramatic, natural beauty of a place like Silverthorne,” says Chief Creative Officer, Nathan Hendricks, who led the work. “When combined with an intimate space and an impeccable theatrical production, the experience is transformative. It reframes the way you think about the human experience and the wider world. This is the idea that inspired the work and what the final design captures so beautifully.”
Developing strategy, design and launch strategy for the new brand, LPK’s work conveys the mission Theatre SilCo has for the future of small, local theatre. “This is a brand that stands for brave, bold, boundless expression,” says Hendricks. “The kind that connects us to ourselves and to each other.”
